Brand Strategy Director

We’re seeking a gifted Brand Strategy Director to join our rapidly growing global team, being responsible for brand strategy, account planning and research for our international Fortune 500 and growth-stage clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing all research for assigned projects (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Continually enhancing and championing the agency’s strategic process
  • Building and leading a team of brand/market researchers and strategists
  • Help bring the audience to life for our teams and our clients – facilitate and lead client workshops in order to develop customer personas, buyer journey messaging and brand architectures
  • Conduct secondary source research – market, customer, competitive – to surface insights and transform them into effective brand strategies
  • Design and perform quantitative and qualitative research pertaining to the agency’s creative, marketing and branding strategies for assigned clients
  • Design and perform focus groups (recruitment, moderating, etc.)
  • Work closely with account management and creative teams to become a valued strategic partner both internally and externally
  • Challenge and elevate strategic thinking, add new perspective, and ensure creative briefs are best in class
  • Participate in new business efforts: conducting research, writing the creative brief, and presenting key insights to the prospective client

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of brand strategy, account planning and market research experience in agency or in-house setting
  • University degree (undergraduate level) in communications, expertise in a relevant field, like cultural or medical anthropology, psychology, ethnography or qualitative research
  • Extreme attention to detail with an uncanny ability to “connect the dots”
  • Ability to apply their skills to the creative development process – providing feedback, guidance and support in concept development and execution
  • Real-world experience in a creative or marketing related field
  • Consistently meets deadlines and has the ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • A fun, easy-going personality and sense of humor
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with a team
