DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our growing global teams in Scotland, UK or Romania.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As a DevOps Engineer you will work with the applications server in order to install, configure and deploy new enterprise applications on the existing infrastructures (virtualized environments)
  • You will help model the databases and integrate them with new or existing enterprise/legacy applications in order to create complex environments
  • You will ensure that the systems are safe and secure against cyber security threats
  • You will build and set up CI/CD pipelines and new development tools

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Good knowledge of Implementing CI/CD pipelines and version control
  • Proficient in Unix, Windows and scripting
  • Working knowledge with database servers (preferably Oracle, MySQL, DB2) and SQL scripting
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Working experience with application servers (preferably WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, JBoss)
  • Strong communication and good command of English;
  • A friendly, positive, and flexible attitude.
  • Prior experience interacting with clients (internal or external, understanding requirements);

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Azure Pipelines configuration and deployment
  • Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Azure Container Registry etc.)
  • Programming background (Java, Python, Go)
  • Prior experience with data modeling, DataWarehouses/DataLakes
  • Experience with hardware or software Load Balancers (F5 BigIP, Nginx, Apache)
